The 37th annual Festival of India in coming to downtown Vancouver on Sunday August 15th 2010. The event attracts a diverse group of 20,000 plus visitors including locals from every corner of the Greater Vancouver as well as tourists from abroad.

The festival begins with a dynamic parade under the Granville St Bridge at Beach Ave. and proceeds along Beach Ave to 2nd Beach in Stanley Park. This parade includes features 50 foot chariots, South Asian instrumentals, dancers and a cultural explosion of visuals. Following the parade the festival offers a FREE full course South Asian meal for 20,000 people from noon to dusk. There are 20 Large tents set up displaying art, science, literature, and fashion. There are also 2 Stages of performing artists, including highly acclaimed International Theatrical Troupes, top rated classical Bhartnatyam dancers and a variety of other musical artists. For children, we offer face painting, puppet shows, balloon artists, 30 feet high inflatable kid gym bouncer, and Henna Hand Tattoos. The festival also includes cooking demonstrations, a bicycle valet and an Indian Bazaar.

The Festival of India is looking for products that are targeted to families, young teens, children and adults. These may include clothing and fashion accessories (no leather/animal products please), household goods, art, electronics, and unique services.
